  1. Thank you Wonko, thanks Metacog and Newan for clearing up my confusion, I really want to play right so i need to get my facts straight Edit to begin RPing: Honerius Bager was tired, he was tired of sitting in these caves. He needed fresh air, his job as trapper had been successful in the distant past, but the game had started disappearing, and so now he was here hunting mice like a cat, a stupid cat. He'd set up a hovel in the cheapest place he could find. And then all these new people started drifting into town, bringing rumors of the Lord Ruler's constructs wandering the lands. "When I was a young buck we'd go out and hunt them down, but now everyone just cowers in their shacks." He said to no one in particular as he strolled through the Main District. He went into the alehouse, not to have a drink, he didn't have enough money for that, but just to spend some time away from his hovel.
  2. Metacognition said that the GM should assign roles to payers that don't give them (sorry I don't know how to quote an individual line) If someone requested a role at the beginning do they get it, I was under the impression that it would be random despite RPing and introductions to make things fair, but I'm kind of confused Edit to add: Are the spiked twinborn as well as being spiked? Do they only have one spike or multiple? Do they have preset allomantic or feruchemic abilities from their spikes?
  3. Hey, if you want to join SE there is a game with signups until sunday called Twinborn Village, lots of new players (myself included) are joining so it would be the perfect opportunity
  4. Sanderson is less of a thing you do, and more of a lifestyle
  5. My director is a very clever man, I was the villain last play, this time around I'm not the play we are doing is a dumbed down version of Once upon a Mattress Edit to add: I'm only in middle school, so dumbed down it is
  6. You know you're a Sanderfan when your drama teacher asks you to spike things on stage, and you start laughing to your self like an insane person. (spiking things in stage terms is to mark a set pieces position on the floor with tape to make it easier to place exactly) Edit: Woot Woooooot, My first Popular post. For some reason I feel really accomplished right now
  7. I see the DA has gotten to this one quickly, anyways, welcome to the forums.
  8. Sorry if you misunderstood me, Slowswift, I didn't include Ruin in my talk, that would've been awesome, I only talked about that idea. Edit to fix words
  9. I recently (last sunday) gave a talk about how Satan attempts to deceives us, and I talked a bit about that same idea.
  10. Honey Badger performs Thread Necromancy I've noticed a parallel between the LDS hymn "The Spirit of God" (page 2 in the hymn book), there are a few lines that resonate "The visions and blessings of old are returning" This line reminds me of the SA with the surgebinding returning as the desolation comes. Also Dalinar's visions, it was said by the ardent talking to Adolin that during the Hierocracy, people would claim to have visions, and I'm not saying that Dalinar's visions are fake, but just that they are returning. "We'll sing and we'll shout with the armies of heaven" That rings of their beliefs in the Tranquiline Halls and how when they die they'll go and join the armies to win it back. I'm sure there are other Hymns that have similar aspects, but that is one that struck me
  11. I had an Idea, maybe if we use a large electromagnet, assuming the Elephant's weapon's and armor are metal, we could pull the together and make it harder for them to fight back while we LRAD and capture them. If you guys have seen Guardians of the Galaxy, that thing he does to Ronan's soldiers that were standing next to his ship
  12. Oh, I meant storm the barn, but don't kill the all, the argument above is mainly over lethal weapons or not, and I'm saying not
  13. Can I join I think this is in essence just a hostage situation, with high stakes, not a trigger happy shoot em up, so I think taking hostages of our own would be one of the best ways to ensure the return of the human hostages. And if there is a future charge, we can do all that stuff with bazooka's or what not. Opinions? Edit to Add: I have played Dungeons and Dragons adventures similar to this, and we lost it and charged in and we were slaughtered. After the short fight our game leader told us five simple ways we could've averted the problem. Since then I have thought that combat is last resort in both real life and in games.
  14. I must say favorite (current) surge is Illumination, or light weaving, but I'll probably really like one in a future book. And I'll think about your offer, I'll avoid get back to you later
  15. I have been lurking here for unite some time, before finally coming out of the shadows. I have read all of Brandon's books except for Alcatraz. (I'll try, I know a guy who has them) And I will be active in some forums, but I quite frankly don't have enough time to get to all of them, there is just so much. I'll see (talk) to you guys out in the regular forums.
