Good morning! I was first introduced to Brandon's books five years ago on a cruise with my wife. She knows how much I like to read and that I'm always looking for new authors that don't throw sex and language in, so she stopped by a bookstore to see if she could find a couple for me to read on the trip. Just so happened that signing books that day was none other than our own Mr. Sanderson! She grabbed Elantris and the first Mistborn, had him sign them. She later regretted buying them because to get me to stop reading and go do stuff on the trip she practically had to use the Jaw of LIfe. Been a fan ever since!
