I'm still catching up on the other threads, but on one of them somebody was talking about David stealing powers from other Epics. I buy into this idea of David "collecting" powers from them, perhaps through touch. It would be thematically appropriate as he's collected information about their powers for years, and I read through a few key parts at the end of Firefight that might tie in with this. Oblivion touches David's shoulder before he teleports away, and then later when David seems to teleport away from the collapsing force field Prof creates around him, this is before Megan is fully reborn. As for Prof, he does gift David powers, but again he touches him and it might seem like Prof is gifting them, but David's actually also absorbing them, which might explain why he took so much healing power. That is, of course, if David is actually an Epic! Sorry if somebody has already made all these points, I'm new and haven't had a chance to read everything yet.

Thank you for your welcomes! Ah I am partial to cookies, but I'm afraid my January detox won't allow it. I *do* love cookie dough ice cream though! *looks hopeful* My favourite Sanderson book... Ooh such a hard choice! Probably The Final Empire; hard to beat the first experience! As for favourite world to live on, that would probably be Nalthis. As a designer/sort-of-artist, I'd find the visual effects of BioChroma and the Heightenings on colour very interesting

Hi everyone, I too have just signed up after being someone who just read all the theories on here... I thought it was about time I joined in! It seems like a really friendly forum with a lot of great topics I've read pretty much everything of Sanderson's, except for Rithmatist and White Sands. Mistborn is what got me hooked; Vin has to be one of my favourite literary characters ever. I never know what to say in introductions really, just hope to get involved and get to know you through the discussions!
