  1. I am now cautiously optimistic about the series!

As a fan of the comics, I was pretty disappointed that they changed her powers so drastically. To me, it seemed, they would have to nail Kamala's character in order for it to be Ms Marvel.

Thankfully, they did that in this episode along with the family.

Bruno was certainly changed for the show, but we don't talk about him.

Yes but thou hath used it wrong. Thee is only used as an object, thou is only used as the subject.

Sounds like a style guide to me, like all grammar! Grammar is a lie!

The only truth in this world is that pineapple goes on pizza. With anchovies.

Thank you for giving me more information regarding the translation. Now consider, we measure days by the spin cycle of our planet, but what does God measure his time by?

If God is outside of time, it doesn't measure time relative to itself

Note: days is not in our time, but in the Lord's. The original word means something along the lines of "Period", as in a period of time. As for the rest, he created everything.

Meh. That's only a, singular, interpretation. The Hebrew word in question can mean period, but it can also mean day.

Basically, believe what you want, but there's no factual basis that one interpretation is more accurate "to the originalme meaning" than another.

  5. One should always have John Carpenter's The Thing on their list, even if you decide to wait until you are more ready!

I really liked the 70s Hellhouse movie, but don't quite recall the title.

You can also consider watching the first entries in classic horror franchises: Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, etc. and ignore the rest because they are kinda garbage. That would also give you the background you need if you ever wanted to watch Scream.

Killer Clowns from Outer Space is really fun.

Alien and Aliens. The others are fine to garbage.

Predator, while we're looking into the scifi-horror side of things.

I hear Kubrick's The Shining is a classic, but I haven't watched it yet. I've also heard Doctor Sleep is great.

Consider Annihilation. Having a great sound system is essential to get the most out of it. It also strays faaaar from the book, so it won't ruin the book for you.

I'll leave it at that for now.

Crickets are actually okay to eat, so long as they aren't seasoned too heavily(some seasoning is good though).

I mean... shrimp, lobsters and crabs are kinda sea bugs, and we eat those just fine!

I would try bugs on pizza, but I wouldn't pay for it.

I'll provide some folksy stuffs, then!

    Mr. Fool by George Jones

Reasons to Quit - Merle Haggard

And of course, Big Iron by Marty Robbins

I'll be back with Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot suggestions.

Never had anchovies on pizza unfortunately, but I'm very curious.

One should be careful, get it from a pizzeria you trust!

Sometimes, at bad pizzerias, they'll use anchovies that come from a container that's been open for a loooong time. Eating that can get you sick

Other than that, if you like canned fish and salt, it's great! Onions will cut down on the saltiness (in my experience) and you'll only want to have veggies with it (I wouldn't have pepperoni or sausage with it, imo).

As far as should you have pineapple with it? Well, have one life experience at a time, no need to cram it all in!

Read All Quiet On The Western Front.  I definitely get why this book is considered to be so good.  I did not enjoy reading it, but at the same time, it's a very important? might be the word? story.

I think a lot of times, the current "reader culture" values entertainment/ enjoyment at the expense of all else.

In this case, edification! It's an edifying novel that's well-crafted and is even more important for you or I because it comes from the "enemy" and humanized them.

So you aren't "wrong" for not enjoying it. Part of growing as a reader is realizing that some books aren't for mere escapism. And recognizing when you can/want to read a book for edification and letting it sit when what you want is entertainment.

Hopefully that didn't come out too snooty

So @Orlion Blight, are you religious? I’m curious now!

Do you know what curiosity does to cats?! :o

I am an atheist with a non-trinitarian background that likes to use Catholic theological terms in jokes...like heresy!

I tend to know more Catholic theology or what they consider heresies (Nestorian is my favorite) because that's just what tends to show up in the books I like to read when any strain of Christianity does show up.
