Why would they be fighting though? What if they stopped to talk and realised they had stuff in common and decided to be BFF's? Otherwise Vin would win against Shallan unless Pattern was able to pull Shallan into the Shadesmar completely like Ivory pulled Jasnah into the Shadesmar.

I didn't like the plot twist at the end and I was just as confused as Locke about it. I felt with the whole Locke and Sabetha romance, it got quite annoying like the Kvothe and Denna one. I preferred Locke in the previous two books. But it was nice to have those flashbacks with the Sanza twins.
