Okay see that makes sense. Maybe I was just reading a little too much into the screaming. I was even thinking that the spren have their own version of Braize. Like they copy the effects of the oathpack so much they even recreated the punishments of it as well

Hey everyone! I'm a long time lurker but first time poster. Before I go into a thought I had I just wanted to thank you guys for this forum. I have spent hours on here reading all things Sanderson and you people are awesome! But enough kissing butt... So I was thinking about why do spren (in shardblade form) scream when they are summoned into the physical plane? I understand that they are dead before that but why come back screaming? That seems weird to me, like shouldn't they come back confused, scared or something along those lines? Then I had a thought, what if they are sent to hell...and by that I mean Braize or whatever the place it is the heralds go after desolation. Like their bond is somehow related to the oathpack in that regard. So they don't just die they are actually sent there and tortured. Now that also got me thinking about the Taln debate. What if he is actually a spren that somehow got put into a human body and returned to Roshar. In his interlude he says how the words he speaks are not his but someone else's. So maybe a spren that was sent there somehow hijacked his physical body. Now all this is a rather out there theory but it's been on my mind for awhile and I don't have any friends that read Sanderson so y'all are my only outlet to discuss these things.
