  1. Solution: Cross Country. All the running, but much more variety in courses.
  2. Structure Rebel Ingredient Neutral
  3. Hmm... I'm more of a math person than a physics person.... @Glamdring804, how much do you know about thermodynamics?
  4. Fire is merely a visible form of heat, and heat is nothing but thermal energy. By the conservation of energy, which states that energy can't be created or destroyed, only changed, heat can't be created or destroyed. You can't create heat, but you can control how much is present in an area. If you're trying to avoid handwaving the magic, one thing you could do is redefine it as the manipulation of heat, instead of the manipulation of fire. This would open the door for many more interesting and unexpected applications of the magic, such as freezing someone by withdrawing all the heat from a person's body and dispersing it around the area.
  5. After playing around with it for a bit, I was also able to derive a difference formula. cos(a) - sin(b) = ((1 - sin(b-a))(1 - sin(b+a))^.5 Therefore, cos(a) +- sin(b) = ((1 +- sin(b+a))(1 +- sin(b-a)))^.5
  6. "There is nothing more reassuring than realizing that the world is crazier than you are" "No one can truly comprehend the enormity of the lesser events, much less the whole thing."
  7. @Glamdring804@Oversleep Maybe make the character able to see the power or individual charges instead of just the flow of them(which is current)?
  8. @Reborn radiant I don't know if it's against policy, but even if it's not, it may be a good idea to put this in spoiler tags. I'd be willing to continue this discussion in PMs if you'd like.
  9. To be fair, I don't believe this one was as simple as most Replacing 0 with cos(pi/2) was not a very obvious move initially.
  10. @Chaos, @Glamdring804, I think you two might enjoy this. It always bothered me that when looking at a table of trig identities, there wasn't a sum to product identity for sin(a) + cos(b). It's actually a really simple one, but the derivation involves the culmination of almost all the other ones, so it's really elegant in that regard. Below is the identity, and below that will be the derivation. sin(a) + cos(b) = ((1 + sin(a+b))(1 + sin(a-b)))^.5 Derivation:
  11. I am taking the ASVAB today.
  12. So... Antony and Cleopatra?
  13. At the end, when people were leaving and getting refreshments, we closed with the cantina music
  14. About that... Today, the jazz band was asked to play for an award ceremony. In return, we asked to play Darth Vader's theme when the principal was introduced.
  15. @Honorspren Any chance of updating the OP to include currently existing character profiles so that they can all be in one place?
  16. My AP World teacher is awesome. For the past month, he's been holding daily review sessions that keep him at the school until nine. Nine! He always gives honest feedback on work, and never sugar coats it, and is always able to keep the class engaged. I don't believe I've ever met someone with a greater integrity, and I've definitely never had a teacher with a greater dedication to his students.
  17. I personally liked it due to the significance it gave to math and mathematicians.
  18. I just watched Hidden Figures, and it was amazing!!!
  19. Turns out, we also set a new state record
  20. At 7:30 mountain time, 30 minutes from now, I'll be playing in a concert, and streaming it through Discord.
  21. Don't worry, Lightsong said he'd do it.
  22. Update: I called her to check up on her. She said she had aching neck and shoulders. I'm currently theorizing wiplash caused by the headrest being to low when the crash happened.
  23. So, I got in a collision today due to the other person unexpectedly putting on her brakes. I was a split second late in slamming. On the bright side, there was no visible damage was done to either vehicle.
