I think he is Herald or some kind of Knight Radiant of past(it seems impossible in roshar) But he complains many times about his age and language. He also can see sprens. And in interlude he said he can't hear voice in his head.

The 3 god spren in past who bonded with bondsmiths are probably dead.Or somewhere in the form of shardblade. I think there will be more bondsmiths will introduced. Less likely of odium.
