  1. Travelhound. That has worse chemistry.
  2. We….we're not really discussing this, are we? Diamonds and dead things. That's the pairing your'e going with?
  3. It could be a pretty psychologically terrifying power, though, as illustrated with his creeptastic meeting with the momentum twins.
  4. I will get Remington's first flashback up, and have him make a few snide remarks to get Backtrack sent to The Dalles in search of blackmail. Before or after Sam's turn?
  5. Want me to send you Koschei's scenes before I post them so you can figure out Backtrack's reactions? He's....um....not very pleasant.
  6. Flashback coming up.
  7. Totally fine. I just didn't want to spoil part if Remington's backstory through a special RP. ....come to think of it, I might need to have him recall the early portions with Koschei before he meets Quota, then have Quota bring the later parts to the front of his mind.
  8. "And then Nighthound and Lucentia destroyed each other. It was quick, but very painful for both of them, and it rid the world of two terrible people forever. The end." We need to get Backtrack up to the MoNA relatively soon. I realized today that there are 10 days until the month ends, at which point I will need to bring Koschei into another RP. :/
  9. It would be a very difficult situation to create, because of Slaughterhouse's own habit of scaring children, but if the situation was created, then for a few minutes, a child might set off his weakness. Edit: Edge, you have NO idea how badly your last comment made me want to make a Taco Bell joke.
  10. Under the right circumstances, something Koschei has a habit of doing could set it off.
  11. He already knows that Lightwards killed them, and he's assuming Funtimes meant the first time. Hearing they had their heads smashed in by Nighthound would not place Nighthound on the (very) short list of Epics Remington is willing to tolerate. The Funtimes weaponry would lead him to ask more questions, most likely of Nathan (who is more likely to give honest answers than Funtimes, who would hedge around them). Learning about the details of the battle wouldn't make Funtimes his enemy, but it would remind him that she isn't quite trustworthy and she isn't quite a friend—just a very useful and dangerous ally. Basically, he knows Epics are not to be trusted, and he doesn't see Funtimes as anything close to a friend. They share a mutual hatred of Lightwards, and he'll work with her on that for as long as he needs to. And then he'll get out of there before she can turn on him, because that is what he'll assume she'll do.
  12. I would like to see this.
  13. Pictured: Us, writing for the original RP, come November 1.
  14. I think Steelheart reserved that show for torture purposes.
  15. An evil healer and an evil Soother, in the same game as insane!Mobius, everyday!Slaughterhouse, Simon, Crow, and a host of other nightmares. Goodbye, sleep.
  16. Should I bring in Quota, too?
  17. Terror upvote.
  18. Sinister!Funtimes and her best friend Möbius. Agreed on the Simon part. I think I'll just use Koschei. A lifetime of nightmares is enough.
  19. If he goes after any vanillas Funtimes likes, she just might start singing and interpreting "You Give Love a Bad Name." "Shot through the heart and you're to blame....this is a prison, you can't break free...." ..... Maybe we could have a section of Calamityville dedicated to all of Lightwards' nightmares.
  20. Nathan and Remington already think Lightwards has some unpleasantly childlike tendencies; wonder how they'd feel to know even the writers are coddling him? (I actually like the idea. Venting on some upstart rival is better than venting on helpless bystanders. )
  21. That's fine. I don't see why they wouldn't.
  22. Good try, though.
  23. I considered saying so now, but since I have designs on revealing that at Quota's death….RAFO!
  24. I think most of the Oregon Epics are too caught up in their own agendas, honestly. When she starts singing "Rolling in the Deep"….basically, run. At least gets out of there before she gets to "Baby, I have no story to be told/ But I've heard one of you and I'm gonna make your head burn." Well, that breakdown made me realize exactly why she's so silly. Why that sort of a breakdown wasn't out of character, why it felt so natural to have her do that. And….well, Quota's attack on her friends won't end well for him. When she knows what she's facing, she'll lock said friends in a closet so they don't have to watch her end him. Again, if you want to cement Lightwards' terror of her, have him watch from the shadows.
  25. "How long after marriage, darling?" "Six months." *gets on one knee* "Marry me now!" (I for one do not want to see a woman terrifying and prudish enough to earn Lightwards' affections. Well, part of me does, but the rational side of my brain keeps reminding the irrational side about the horror that was Lighthound. ) Agreed. They really do bring out the worst in each other, and I love it. It's the dynamic wars are made of. (Also, am I the only one who can see Funtimes 1) asking Lightwards if he's ever been eaten by his own coat, or 2) stalking him through the halls, singing the chorus to "Grenade" as she acts out the words? "I'd catch a grenade for you….step in front of a train for you…." You get the gist.)
