  1. I don't have a dozen or so slaves I coerced into my service by slitting and healing their throats, officer. You can't come in without a warrant. Funtimes IS like me in some ways--mostly in the backstory sense, though the parallels are by no means perfect. But I'm far, far quieter and far, far shyer than she is. Though I have been known to say "Great googly moogly" on occasion.
  2. I love vague stuff! If you were to make it solid and weigh my love for vagueness, it would weigh at least....I don't know....more than 50 pounds or so?
  3. What if she trapped his feet in tar or cement?
  4. No, the baker shows up whenever her opponent is winning to drop pancakes on the board.
  5. Chess the way Funtimes plays it?
  6. You're not an idiot. Off topic, but can Chess teleport up? If he were on the first floor of a building, could he Move to the second?
  7. I don't know why, but this seems like the most karmic ending for him. Provided Max is the one who trained the hippo and told it where to sit. They're closest to their families and any other dogs in those families, but for the most part they're pretty friendly with everyone. Definitely a different Salem. (I do think there should be a war there, partly because of a downtown mosaic that says "Salem: We speak peace every time we say your name." The thought of a warlike Epic stepping across that on his way to take power is wonderfully ironic.) I don't know. It doesn't seem likely, but I suppose it's possible.
  8. Scarred eyes and burned fingers. I think we should just work on plotting out the Trifecta's deaths and call it a day. That doesn't sound too bad. The only animals I have to put up with are my pugs, which I adore...even when Mollie pitches a fit because Bruno got to go to the park when she didn't.
  9. Eep! Both of those are terrifying, the cockroach especially. You have my respect for putting up with that sort of thing on a regular basis. Um, sure. Let's go with that. I like your headcanon better anyway.
  10. They might be docile, but they're HUGE. I'd be lying if I said they didn't freak me out just a bit. I suppose we have Vondra to thank for keeping Deathwish off that list.
  11. You insult yourself, Kobold. Backtrack could never be a farmer. He's scared of cows. And chickens. And fences. And hay. And chicken feed. And.... I remember those exceptions.
  12. From what David says in the second book, about "attractive humans" dating Epics, I got the impression that human-Epic dalliances are fairly common. Yet we never hear of any children resulting from these relationships, and I think David probably would've mentioned that if only to point out that those children had more rights than their human parents, or whether or not they inherits powers. So I think it's safe to say Epics are unable to have children.
  13. My guess would be the same species, with mutations. We don't consider ordinary humans with genetic anomalies to be a different species.
  14. That's funny. I don't recall any mentions of "foul servants of the One Who Ate Nine" in the RP so far.
  15. It's discouraged, but not forbidden if you're posting for different characters. If your character is waiting on another character's response, PM that character's player or remind them in the Question thread. A small cameo for yourself would probably be okay.
  16. How do you mean?
  17. I thought of three Epics who should never team up today: Rainmaker, Funtimes, and Obliteration. Rainmaker could create a whirlwind, catching dust and turning to a giant dust devil. Funtimes could change the dust to non-dairy creamer, which, once mixed with air... ...Obliteration could light on fire.
  18. *gasp* I won't be unemployed after all!
  19. Chess went from badchull to "Please don't kill me!" in 60 second flat. I thought only Backtrack could do that. Only, why is the Astoria collab in Portland? : huh:
  20. She doesn't even know if Autumn can cook yet! For all she knows, Autumn's "specialty" could be bean paste with salt. (I mean, it isn't…she can cook, and she can cook pretty well. She's good at canning in particular. She'd help her mom make jam every summer back in Cottage Grove, and she learned to can other things then and up at the ranger station….but that's beside the point. )
  21. Autumn will be tempted to make this.
  22. Like many other sentences involving Nighthound, I find this one horribly ominous. He actually wasn't trying to blow up the entire state. Just Nighthound. Unfortunately, that pesky healing factor meant Obliteration had to use a bit more firepower than usual, which resulted in Oregon becoming the wasteland you see today.
  23. If Oregon is the Question, blowing up Nighthound is the Answer.
  24. You have good ideas today.
  25. Since I doubt Backtrack would stop crying long enough to go alone, my guess is Lightwards would send backup.
