Thanks for your help, all of you! I might reconsider the reading order of Mistborn and the Stormlight Archive, but I think I have now decided on starting with the Emperor's Soul in order to "dip my toes" first, as Aether suggested. I'll take it from there :-)

I haven't as of yet read any of Brandon Sanderson's books, but I've been told that "the Way of Kings" is a good starting point for getting to know his books and the Cosmere. Are there any conflicting views on this? What would the ideal reading order be?

Hiya! I am a huge Sanderson fan. Or at least I hope to be xD. I haven't actually read any of his books yet, but a friend of mine (Aether) has gotten me really interested in in the Stormlight Archive in particular. And the theorycrafting on this site seems like a lot of fun. I hope to start with his books after the exams. I'm creating this account ahead of time for no particular reason. Wish me luck!
