Man that was a slog for real. on bk 2 in RG. Champions have arrived. So good. Bugg loses his temper. Twilight! So much epicness.

As much as I love Tiste what really killed 8 for me was Nimander and Sandalth. That became a bit of a slog on both arcs. Hopefully the reread will be glorious. i have a challenge for Angel. How many times can you reread the entire saga before I get done with mine? Lol we were even up to bk 4 iirc but I have slowed down beyond what I expected I would thanks to other books, DS9&Voyager, & my steady playing of Destiny 2.

Iron Banner that’s not Iron Banner started today. I’m actually grinding away on it to thanks to new ornaments for Warlock and Titan taking that stupid topknot away, then ofcourse they add one to the Hunter. Grr

Lots of Andii stuff in 8. I’m curious about it on reread as it was by far my least favorite of 10 and I’m in the minority on those feelings. Majority is either 4 or 9 I find.

Oh jeez I love Tiste whatever lore fav Liosan(except FoD) and I’m getting my jollies in RG. Can’t wait for bk10. Hopefully my reread of FoD will be better but I’m down right terrified to tackle FoL after the stories I’ve heard.

Oh no worries I ll most definitely finish it I’m just not really into Zomi and the academic focus/setting currently. Though I did really enjoy the bit how her leg was injured. I just realllly want to get past this setting. a lot of the boredom I’m feeling is likely as I said due to Malazan reread.

Wall of Storms has ground to almost a complete stop on my part. I can’t motivate myself to really get into it though Malazan 6&7 probably isn’t helping a bit. On pg 152 and I doubt I have read 10 full pages in the past 2 weeks. I still like it but Malazan is a high bar to meet for other books and it’s really showing right now.

I’ve been looking forward to you doing FoD just to see if you had the same reaction I had to it. I really can’t say my thoughts cause it’s major spoiler territory but I had much frustration with it. There is a very interesting conversation in GotM between no spoilers just the characters having it that got my mind turning on reread though.

I particularly loved Telorast and Currdle and while I’m blanking on their overall arc now they were down right hilarious and a good rival to Tehol and Bugg comedy wise. That much I did remember

and still decades left to get more books to.

Oh how I lovvveee the past sections in prologues. RG has a great one.

Obvisiously I can’t speak on that issue past NoK in the grand scope of things but reading NoK before BH fit really nice together with people and locations I thought. i would try it if you read both already individually.

Just a few pgs away from ending BH. Last night I dug out RotCG thinking it came before RG and I was quite excited to get started on it again as I never finished it the 1st time but then I looked at reading order and saw it should be read after RG. No complaints cause RG is great and I will read Beak a book sooner then I thought I would. rust...BH is fantastic this 2nd time as it was it on 1st.

Not sure if anyone knows yet but the Earthsea aurthor Ursula Leguin died today age 88. Never read her but she was a fantasy icon for millions.

And more not to get me started on... 4v4! This was so horrible to decide on. Now they are giving us 6v6 again. Iron Banner just being regular Crucible. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? Iron Banner is supposed to be sweaty and induce the chase to become more powerful. What we have in D2 is NOT IB by any means. It’s an insult to that glorious D1 activity that made me sink 9-12 hrs of my day in to get that slow power increase each day. grr annnd making sniping and shotguns meaningless. I used to get so many praise or straight up hate messages after matches in D1 with my sniping skills. I would be so rusty right now if I loaded up D1... bottomline D2 is game that required time to pass before we really could see exactly how far the game/franchise sunk.

What truly kills me is how much I down right enjoyed the campaign and I thought we were really in for a treat based on that. Gaul has so much more flesh (in game) then every villain put together in D1. The end game fails though. The lack of random weapon rolls kills almost any need to grind which made D1 the king of looter shooters. The dumbed down powers and down right lazy lack of customization on lvling up is a high crime. Look how in-depth D1 was on this compared to 2. It takes away the chase to get that perfect build for PvP and makes everyone basically the same. It’s horrible. Don’t even get me started on how insulting Curse of Ostupid was. 1st DLC in which I have no desire to complete on all 3 toons.. 1 was enough!! I think the entire management team on 2 should step aside or be canned honestly. They tanked themselves and quite likely the entire franchise. So many YouTubers and steamers just dropped this game over the last 2 months. This should be alarming and yet it doesn’t seem like it’s sinking in them. Giving us D1 features isn’t the answer as it should have been there all along after 3 yrs of tweaking D1. Expand on them don’t just throw them away for what was essentially D1.5 and not a proper sequel(imo anyway).

This franchise is in epic jeopardy now. It’s their own rusting fault to. The shade that’s been unfolding the past 2 months along with the undisputed worst DLC in series history have been enough to tank them. They went backwards going into D2 on many things they only finally just got right in the last year of D1 and now having to bring back in damage control mode. Idiots. This stuff shouldn’t even be an issue. its going to take a whole lot to get me to pay more $ past DLC2.

I actually liked her so much more the 2nd time around in DHG knowing what happened in HoC. It was interesting seeing the transformation but seeing Baudin again was even better. He is one of my favorite characters of the series who I always pictured as Ray Stevenson aka Titus Pullo from HBO’s Rome. oh and James Purfoy aka Marc Antony from same show was always my go to picture for Dancer. im on a roll. Christopher Lee is my Shadowthrone with dark skin. That just fits to me.. Forkrul Assail are the creatures called Hungers in Morrowind but with hair. Mappo/Trells are the big hairy beast from Guy Pierce’s Time Machine movie.

I never claimed otherwise lol and Jaguars beat themselves in the 4th with those dumb penalties. They HAD it sealed even with only a 3 pt lead. and this is the best Foles I’ve seen since he took back his QB position

I’m conflicted. I want Vikings to win and become the 1st Bowl home team but I like Eagles more and want them to have a 3rd chance at the Bowl to. Grrr this game is making me crazy

Oooh boy! That fleet clash in BH was every bit as awesome the 2nd time around. i would LOVE to see that on film.
