Yep I’m loving it and I still ain’t even left the 1st floor yet. Just keep reloading it. Got another Reaper and Breeze. I’m hoping for more Dragon Veins or Ingenuity for the EP field replenish. A Hellfire would be groovy to. Area has staved off my rush to end.

Oh I like the color theme in here and also due to this expansion I’m really more able to try out MQ I don’t ever use so this is really making this draw out acceptable right now. As for the Mira I can’t afford one of those things let alone all 5 of them so that’s out of my reach atm but I shall try to get one atleast. I wiped myself getting armor and weapons in town last night before going in and seeing this stuff today. Will take a bit but I still haven’t used the cooking thing yet this game so that may help. ed that cooking thing ain’t near as good as it was in CS1. Hard to get anyone to cook the tri ongiri in bulk to make it worth the effort

Did another dialogue round and another hidden quest earlier today. Will finally be able to go onward and set about exploring in less then 20 minutes for my 4 pm session. I’m excited to do some mixing around.

And now I’m back in CS2 Epilogue stuff

Anyway it’s been a hella long day so far and I still plan on going further in my antsy ness to be done. I have completed all quest plus the hidden one on this last free day. Im having fun but this is a doozy for sure.

I’d like to know why my Vandyck doesn’t speak when everyone else is.

I called so much of this stuff lol. In epilogue now. Umm ok my head is spinning like crazy.

I just couldn’t take it anymore. I wasn’t going to just grind another few lvls for a few hours when at only a few hundred pts each battle now. I was getting beat down so much and I just want to be done with this game so I broke down...weaken option it is..ugh 4 times. FOUR TIMES! Im at a pause point in game now before next rounds start. It’s almost ambien time so I must not go into this fuzzy headed. I will wait for tomorrow and finish the battles and prepare myself for the hours of story still left after. I really hope I can make it once without weaken option. I’m 2 out of 4 games now. Was sooo close but that was impossible for my style of play at 131 apparently.

This is BS. Curb stomped before I can even do anything really. Ugh guess I have MORE grinding to do. I’m never gonna finish this series

Looks like I’m here! I see I have a hella big battle segment for ending so I’m gonna pause for an hour and recharge so I can be ready for my normal 4pm session. Phew I’m ready.

It’s a lot of people’s favorite of the series.

Got it on 3rd attempt. I think it was all mostly luck that let me prevail. I had to use Emma to revive so many times in that hours long 15 min long battle. The part afterwards. Very very very fun. Wish my son had been able to see that part.

American Tor

I said this in the reading thread but if there is something besides Part 5 that bk 3 actually got right it was the binding. I didn’t mind the $ increase there cause that book is solidly put together, and here is bk 4 at 12 pgs shorter(no biggie) and can’t hold up for 1 read by an extremely tender book handler. So I was thinking and someone else even mentioned that COVID could have very well effected the binding machine process/materials etc. Pretty rusting aggravating as it’s my very 1st book to ever fall apart in the 30yrs I’ve been reading.

I’m happy to report that I did enjoy this book which had a lot riding on it if I would continue buying them in hardcover or just waiting for the paper edition. I liked the story for the most part even though I don’t like 2 of the MCs. Now I’m absolutely not happy with paying $40 for this book only to have it begin to fall apart with less than 200 pgs left on its 1st read instead of its 5th or 6th. I will not rebuy in hopes of a better copy for my shelf. I’m super happy I didn’t hate this book like bk 3 so I will certainly buy bk 5 in hardcover and hope that it won’t also fall apart in my hands before I’m even done with it.

I have zero real life experience with depression but I’m 100% in support mode irl for people that need treatment esp our Vets. Kaladin works my nerves to the ninth degree though...I can’t get excited when he does something balling because I know afterwards he will spiral down again for a few hundred pages. Him and Shallan are just exhausting characters to read in these very large books getting hammered over the head over and over again. I had no issues with Vin in Mistborn but those two characters are just hard to get behind in SLA.

I disliked Shallan in bk 1 and it’s only grown since. She is crazy and highly exhausting to read for thousands upon thousands of pages. I think my book binding broke by the sheer force of my mental thoughts of wanting to bash my own head in with it any time I saw her/s’s[ughhhhh] name pop up. I was so hoping bk 4 would put an end to that but no only Veil is gone. Exhausting and least favorite character in any book I’ve ever read. It becomes even worse to when mixed with depressed Kaladin for once again thousands upon thousands of pages. Favorite part of bk 4 was 3 because she was completely absent! Woot!

I watched the pilot of Resident Alien and I’m 100% onboard for now. This was fantastic and I very much hope the rest of the season maintains the humor/quality of ep 1. SyFy has been replaying the hell out of it since Wednesday so y’all have plenty of chances to still see it before ep 2 hits. I reco it.

Ummm yea I got utterly rusting stomped on 3rd Stratum end. Honestly don’t even know how I’m going to pass this bit. Hopefully I don’t have to weaken. I’m just ready to move on to next game. *sigh I guess I have to try and grind a bit more but it’s getting hard to hit next lvl now. Just hit 130 with main group. I will feel so cheap if I have to take that weaken route here. Haven’t had to yet this game but this is probably the biggest test here....

Son is here so very little time to play. I did clear 2nd Stratum just now and it was a very fun fight. Clear Moon Gem is epic in these boss fights. At lvl 129. I just want to goooooooo go go but no it’s GTA time. Grr
