  1. So I'm reading WoR again and came across the beginning passage to chapter 41 that at the end says one of the ten did not abandon there arms. Not much context as to what this passage meant but made a thought pop in my head. It made me think at first that perhaps it meant the Stonewardens since Taln was presumed their founding Herald and he was the only Herald still fulfilling his duty, though not necessarriily by choice. This led me to think maybe they had never abandoned their duty as believed. But that was negated by the fact that the Stonewardens were one order seen abandoning their duty by Dalinar. This still left and idea in my head, however. What if one of the orders didn't abandon their duty? What if instead they went into hiding, leaving everyone to think they had like every other order, but in secret were still on Roshar, biding their time until a new order of Knight Radiants came? It was just a thought. One that doesn't have any real evidence to back it up, but still would prove to be an interesting plot element if it were true. Feel free to point out problems with the theory, or your own ideas for which order it would be if it was true!
  2. Yeah the way I understood it, Dragonsteel will show Hoids origins, to a degree. But Brandon has said stormlight won't be a big part of the cosmere plot. It does have more to do with it than most of his other cosmere works it seems, but I think brandon said that he wanted Stormlight to have its own complete plot. Which means even more cosmere oriented series to come! Which most likely means more of Hoid!
  3. Simply the fact that nothing in the cosmere books has shown a moment where he might have allomancy. Until WoR of course. Which of course, doesn't disprove anything, givin that it is Hoid we are talking about.
  4. Has anyone ever asked brandon if half a Lerasium bead works just as well as a whole?
  5. I ready for Brandon to rewrite and release the series that shows hoids beginnings. When the first book of that series comes out the world won't see me for like a week. I'll be reading and rereading that book until I can quote it haha.
  6. So it may have already been pointed out somewhere else on here, but did anyone else notice Hoid slipping powder in his drink during Shallans memory when he was giving her father a message from the older brother? My first thought was that he took the Lerasium bead and is now an allomancer, and the powder was metal flakes. Thoughts?
