  1. I thought that it was intended as a literary irony. Everyone else is struggling to learn, or relearn, this lost knowledge very earnestly and the spren are barely of any help. Yet, here's Wyndle, the most knowledgeable spren - the one spren who could have have provided the knowledge necessary for Radiants to prevent the Everstorm - has the one Radiant who simply refuses to learn.
  2. To properly Compare Kaladin's stormlight usage to Shallan's, you have to take into account that Kaladin has ridden a highstorm and filled and depleted himself completely during this. It took Moash a week to bond his shards, and change his eyes... While Radiants don't have to, I suppose you could equate the bonding as similar to using stormlight. Maybe. Light eye colour is really just caused by having less melanin in the eyes. Grey and blue eyes are primarily caused by lower melanin in the iris, while green, hazel, and violet eyes have an extra pigmentation in the stroma (an upper layer of the iris). Why stormlight would bleach one's eyes is a question only Brandon could answer.
  3. Unlike Dalinar and Lift, who both spoke their two Ideals, Kaladin said three Ideals. It could be the "with great power..." deal, or it could also be that greater power must also come with stricter limitations. Then again, I don't know if you can quantify "power" properly. What's interesting is that the glyphs were diferent on the two ocassions they manifested. IIRC, one was wings, and the other was a sword. If a Windrunner is akin to a guardian angel, it makes sense that his power should be showy and awe-striking. I believe there is also something special aout Honour spren. IIRC, in one of Dalinar's visions Nohadon had made some comment about Honourspren being rare. As previously mentioned in this thread, Kaladin's background molded him to be a Windrunner. His desire in joining the army (aside from protecting Tien), was to fight to save life.
  4. IIRC, the text says that the Windrunners are one of the few orders with a heirocracy (or chain of command). I think the glowing bridgemen will be the core of the Windrunners. (I wonder what would have happened had Kaladin not regained his honour spren.) It's curious that the Lopen in invested without a spren, but I imagine that the spren will come. Otherwise, no shard weapon.
