I haven’t used this style for a while, but I actually like it!

I think Rysn, Tyvnk, larkin, Vstim (Oh my he is cute XD), Talik, Reshi King and the eye of Relu-na are included, and the background looks like Reshi Sea and those strange plants. I’m going to do more secondary characters but choice is so hard!

Some notes a bit off the topic: Rysn’s outfit is inspired by Bohemian and Norwegian folk costume. For Thaylen men wear I decided to imitate the clothes from Ottoman Empire, especially those robes and hats. Everything related to Reshi people always reminds me of Maori culture in New Zealand. Also, Oceanian people’s tatoo often makes me think of Axies’ scholarly notes =) (Wow, it’s time to study some anthropology!)

(Another thing: Is there any Thaylen eyebrow fan? :D Drawing them makes me so happy ^ v ^)

Below is something not serious, drawn by ball pen in five minutes ;) I'm so glad Axies makes a cameo here!

Wow thank you!!! She is among my favourite, too! She's getting more and more attractive as a character. Really hope we will see her more in the future books, or could it be possible that she is going to play a bigger role in the second arc? :D

All of these are wonderful. I, too, am a fan of the eyebrows. (My wife is not, though. I'm slowly reading WoK aloud to her, and she nearly gagged when we got to the first Thaylen descriptions.) 

 

The Emperor's Soul drawing/painting are particularly great. I can't decide which style I prefer for that one.

 

In the "Don't Weep, Szeth" interlude drawing, who is the suited man behind Rysn? I guessed Balat but couldn't tell for sure.

I'm a huge fan of your Taln. I always imagined him as being more beefy/strong, but the way you have him here is basically perfect.

Ah, speak of the eyebrows... At first it was very odd for me to read the description and I almost burst into a laugh. (Sorry, the people of Thaylenah!) But then I came to realize that it is such a great worldbuilding aspect because of its unique and cute visual effect :D Also, Thaylens with white eyebrows always remind me of some old sages from the folklores I heard when I was a child. It's so interesting! (But women with white eyebrows? that's something new!)

 

For Emperor's Soul, I've got a plan to depict all the main characters :) I don't know when I can finish it, though.

Thanks!!! Taln is one of my favourite characters so I often feel an urge to give him a fair depiction :) Oh I agree with you. Next time I'll make him look stronger and more powerful!

Holy crap, that is one amazing picture! Now, lesse if I can get the line up of characters in the interlude picture right.

 

From left to right: Axies, Nan Belat, Rysn, Szeth, and Geranid. That last one took me forever to figure out!
