Lamentations

I was working with expressions and I stumbled across the part in CBST where Star's burns show up for the second time. I was going to write her some dialogue as you can see the words on her lips, just waiting to be said... but that's just it. She hasn't said anything at all yet. I think I've captured the emotion of her pause before she says, "I'm in pain."

Star was trembling slightly. "Yes," she muttered. "Yes, I just..." She grimaced, the burns visibly spreading down her neck. Blisters grew on her cheek, painfully. "I'm in pain..." she whispered as a a single tear fell down her cheek.
