I am LOVING Gaz's tiny redemption arc, and his banter with Shallan (well, Shallan’s banter with him) in this chapter was really nice. Letting others make him the butt of their jokes and trying really hard to stop anyone for mentioning he was a bridge sargeant, like he really really doesn’t want to think about the (admittedly HORRID) person he was before. I’m so happy Brandon gave him a fighting chance.
