False Notif Noise?

So, why do I sometimes get a Notif when nothing happened? I didn't get notif, none of the threads I had opened got a new reply, and I had been on it long enough that it couldn't have just been lag, so why does it happen? It confuses me as I search what could've made the noise.

Sometimes I get those, and I have to reload the page to see the new post.
