+honorblades he/him Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 One things that really stuck out to me in this book is our totally new viewpoint of Huio. I really like the Huio is like.. super smart, and inclined towards scholarship but he is not part of one of the traditional ‘scholar orders’. I think this simple thing adds a lot of depth to the Radiants. One doesn’t have to be an Elsecaller or Truthwatcher in order to study science and make important discoveries. I’m sure this goes the other way too - there will definitely be a nerdy scientist type that is also a demon on the battlefield. 1
Rushu42 she/her Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by Huio. It would have been easy to just leave him as Lopen's cousin who's not great at speaking Alethi, but instead he was given a personality very distinct from the other Windrunners. It gives Bridge 4 so much more depth, in my opinion.
