Dawnshard Thoughts

So, my thoughts on Dawnshard.  I read it pretty quickly, so my thoughts are a bit muddled, but, some things that are rising from the turbulent sea of thoughts include: I love that we're getting more about fabrials and how to make them work!  I'll admit I don't get a lot of it, but it's so cool!

Lopen's Third Ideal I think was very well done.  I'm not one of those who finds him annoying, but seeing him grow like this feels very satisfying.  

So, Dalinar and Navani are King and Queen of Urithiru.  Okay... I'm getting a headache imagining what the succession system is like right now.  

More thoughts in the spoiler, but they aren't really the more professional format I like to show up in this kind of post, so I'm putting those in there.  (They are also very messy, rambley, poorly-thought out Cosmere-wide things.)

The Sleepless aren't actually from Roshar??  What??  That threw me for a loop, but makes so much sense now that I think about it.  'Strange looking cremling'? Because it's not a cremling.  Got it.  I think they're probably from Yolen?  They have a Yolen vibe, which is hard to explain, but it's a thing.

Rysn is a Dawnshard.  Well, that wasn't what I expected.  And I expect it to come back later.  It's almost like she's reached a Heightening, from her observations in the epilogue.  But seriously.  She's a Dawnshard?!  Like.  What??  There are so many things I need to go back and reread because I dismissed them...

On the topic of Dawnshards, there are apparently four of them, and were used to shatter Adonalsium, who also made them.  It seems like four is going to be another important number...  I'm guessing each Dawnshard was responsible for Shattering four Shards?  (There are too many things you can mean with the word 'Shard' now.)  And a random linguistic note, the fact that the Dawnshards are older than the actual Shards of Adonalsium makes so much sense.  Dawn is the first part of the day.  The Dawnshards were (as of this moment,) the first thing to use 'Shard' that we know of.  The first.  First=Dawn.
