Ok so a long time I had this idea parts of the body can be modified or added on to but unlike modern day versions they act completely like a part of the body and most importantly they pass down genetically as a dominant gene and if two come in contact the younger is dominant meaning whichever has existed for the shortest amount of time is dominant

So how do you think this would effect society and such?

It would make a society with no standard form. people would add lots of parts and eventually people will stop looking human and more... odd. Some might follow certain patterns of modifications and called certain things, but everyone will be quite varied. And of course, people would b still trying to create advancements on this field as I'm sure there are things they can't do and would like to overcome. Also, wow, nobody bothered replying to this. This post must surprise you.

It's slightly surprising but here are some facts it's only about a generation and twenty years in so they haven't gone completely abhuman (I'm pretty sure that's a word but my phone disagrees) and there are some trends like tails and claws larger size is pretty common I'm pretty sure for there being subsections it would more be who did the modification rather than what it is thanks for replying this is a pretty old idea of mine so it's not the best

It's not bad, you just haven't dug deep enough yet. Also, i think the word you're looking for is inhuman
