swlotrgirl she/her Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 So I want to start drawing more again, but I'm having a hard time motivating myself. I used to draw a lot when I was younger, but kind of stopped somewhere along the way. Any tips on ways to motivate yourself, ideas on what to draw, how to not get discouraged, etc? 2
+ZincAboutIt she/her Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I wanted to learn how to draw for ages, and I finally made myself do it this year. The desire to draw the characters I was writing is what finally motivated me to really take the time to learn, and it's what keeps me practicing day after day. I'd just find something that you can't stop thinking about, something that really occupies your attention, something that you can visualize very intensely. Start with what you're preoccupied with, and draw that. That's what worked for me :3 Best of luck! 1
