Question

Posted (edited)

I am currently in the process of writing some Brandon Sanderson fan-fiction and I was wondering: are there specific words that are capitalized? Here is a list of words that I would specifically like to know (spoilered for length):

Spoiler

Cosmere.

Adonalsium.

Shard (and the shard names).

Allomancy.

Feruchemy.

Twinborn.

Allomantic or feruchemical metal names.

Stormlight.

"Perpendicularity".

That's all I have so far. More might be coming soon as I progress. Thanks!

Cosmere. Yes when referring to the book series, no when referring to the universe. Think of it like the word "cosmos." When you say "The cosmos are big and complicated" it's not capitalized. When you're referring to a speciic book called "The Cosmos" then it is.

Adonalsium. Yes, it's a proper noun.

Shard (and the shard names). Yes. Also proper nouns.

Allomancy. Yes.

Feruchemy. Yes.

Twinborn. Yes.

Allomantic or feruchemical metal names. No.

Stormlight. Yes.

"Perpendicularity". Yes when referring to a specific one, like Cultivation's Perpendicularity. No when referring to perpendicularities in general.
