Hello everyone, I’ve been a fan of Sanderson since I listened to Way of Kings in the dead of night doing graveyard shifts in a medical laboratory, and I haven’t looked back since! I had my WoK signed yesterday by the man himself and that got me super pumped to go deeper into the Cosmere (and everything else)! I guess there’s no better place than the 17th shard, which I’ve been meaning to become apart of, so here we go!

I’ve read all of his works except some of the non-cosmere short stories, which I am working on, and anything else that’s more obscure and not published. My first question is are there any links in this forum to some of his works that are not published? (Like for example, I’ve heard about Dragonsteel, and I’m pretty sure that’s the name of his store, but is that a novella as well?)

Thanks!

As to the unpublished stuff, yes, there's links to that in a lot of places. There's an Aether of Night thread where you can request a copy of the manuscript to Aether of Night, which is a full (albeit unpublished and rudimentary [for BSandy]) novel contained within the Unpublished Works section (linked below) which has pretty much everything on the unpublished stuff that we know of/have access to.

What's your favorite magic system of the cosmere?

Hi Fehologist! Welcome to the Shard.

To answer your question, yes, there are unpublished works available. Aether of NIght can be requested on the above thread. Several chapters of Dragonsteel Prime can be accessed via Brandon's website. Another short fiction, The Silence Divine, can be accessed via the below thread. Note that Silence Divine contains major spoilers for Stormlight 1-3.

Thanks for the info guys! My favorite magic system is allomancy, and the other systems involved with Mistborn. While I like Stormlight more, allomancy is easy to wrap my head around, yet it’s complex at the same time. I think it’s well established.
