=> High Davriel chances!:P

Me too, honestly. The moment I can get my hands on one (and enough money to pay for it), I'm nabbing it.

I’ll take this thread as an excuse to talk about the MTG storyline :ph34r:. I’ve never been that interested in MTG lore but I accidentally stumbled on the premise of the upcoming Sparks War, and now my interests been piqued. Of course, from what I’ve seen, people’s opinions of the Gatekeepers books is that they’re pretty mediocre. So, it’s probably not worth my time to read them in order to figure out what’s going on in the universe right now. If anyone’s familiar with the timeline though, could you catch me up on the setup going into the Sparks war? That is, if you’re bored enough to spend half an hour thoroughly outlining literally everything ;)

Most of the newer story comes from short stories on Wizards' website.  I've been using this post to browse through them:

The old lore surrounding Urza was very good.  After Invasion block, it significantly dropped off, and I stopped reading the books.  They're expensive as hell to buy, but the Ice Age cycle trilogy are the best in the multiverse if you happen to find someone with the set.
