Vargo Seldon he/him Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Keleth sighed with contentment as he sauntered through the front doors of the Alleynaeum. The largest and most beautiful library and center of information in all the Brandonverse. It put the Palanaeum on Roshar to shame. Up until now he had been a middling bureaucrat in the lower ranks of the Diagramists. He had been known for his organization skill, a talent that outstripped even the highest ranking member of the bureaucracy. The Most Brilliant had called him a diamond in the rough, and immediately placed him at the head of the largest library in the alleyverse. The Alleynaeum had only just finished being under construction this week, and had been filled with information up until today. But today, the staff moved in. He took a fabrial lift up to the highest level, and looked out upon Alleycity through his panoramic windows. He could get used to this. "Mister Keleth sir," a scribe called, "Here's the list of today's requests, would you like me to send them down to the exchange section?" "No, bring them here, I would like you to send them down there, but for now, let me handle the workings of my own business. I would like you to take this down to the admittance section though, thank you," he responded, handing the scribe a message. He looked over today's requests. A shipping company asking for a ledger containing the number of Rosharan rockbuds currently in the market, a man from Nalthis asking after the newest romance novel from Hallandren, the Ghostbloods asking for unrestricted access–– Wait, the Ghostbloods? What were the Ghostbloods... ahh, that's right. He went on down the list, and called for a scribe to take it down to the exchange section. He then looked over the organization ledgers, looking for any errors. He spotted a spot on the ledgers where it showed a few books of the Dawnchant placed with transcribed keepers' histories. He called a secretary to deliver the message to the common workers about the error. He got so caught up in the inner workings of a large business, that he completely missed the passing of time. A secretary finally broke him out of his reverie. "Sir, isn't it about opening time? The crowds are gathering out front." She asked. "Kelek's breath! You're right Martha, I completely lost track of time. I wonder what came over me. Tell the Admittance section to throw those doors open! Let them in! For a price, of course, and restrict access to the more sensitive places." He ordered. They opened the doors, and a large welcome sign hung over the grand twelve meter entrance. He stood at his window, looking out over the city, and took it all in. Yes, today was a good day to be Keleth Hathara Quote Finally, the grand Alleynaeum is open! Feel free to use it as a library or store of information. The set price of admittance is 1000 emerald broams worth of investiture. More for restricted areas. Keleth isn't a character, he's just an NPC that I'll occasionally RP, he doesn't have any investiture, and no special talents other than leadership and organization. 1
