Toaster Retribution he/him Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 (edited) In OB we got to see Thaylen City, Kholinar, Rathalas and Urithiru, so, what locations do you think we will visit in book 4? My bet is Sesemalex Dar. It seems like Ishar should come into play in the next book, and so I bet we will see scenes from there. Edited December 21, 2018 by Toaster Retribution 1
What's a Seawolf? Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Definitely Sesemalex Dar because of Ishar. I think we'll see a fair amount of Shinovar as well. Regardless of whether or not Szeth begins his self-assigned mission in Book 4 as opposed to his book, Book 4 takes place one year after OB. There's no way Shinovar, holder of an Oathgate and 8 Honorblades, is ignored by the main cast. 3
Dalakaar he/him Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 We also saw Shadesmar in it's full which was a nice fantastical detour. I absolutely agree with Sesemalex Dar and Ishar. Couple ideas off the top of my head: Shinovar: Now that Szeth is in the fold (so to speak) I can see the Shin coming to the fore. Urithiru (and it's surrounding environs): Exploration isn't done in there. Horneater Peaks: I'm wishy-washy on this one as I'm sure we'll see and it obviously has great importance but Book 4 might be too soon. Or not... 1
Winds Alight she/her Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I want to see the Horneater Peaks, Iri, and Aimia. (What is it about Aimia, anyway?) Also, Herdaz. I wanna know how many cousins Lopen actually has.
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted December 21, 2018 Author Posted December 21, 2018 I think Horneater Peaks as well. I think that is where we will see Vivenna again. I foresee a team-up with her and Rock. Also, Horneater Peaks will probably be a major part of Rocks arc, which started at the end of OB when he killed my bro Amaram, so, yeah.

I don't see a full-fledged Aimia happening specifically because (IMHO) it's the most mystery-laden place we've got. Maybe not even in this 5 book arc beyond the snippet(s) we've had. I would, of course, love to be wrong. There is definitely something about that place that's going to change some rules of the game. 2
+Hoiditthroughthegrapevine he/him Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Hopefully we'll see Urithiru with the power on (somebody's got to wake the sibling up), I'm with toaster, winds alight about the Horneater Peaks being in the next book, the mention of Odium's forces gathering at Cultivation's shardpool is too big a thread to be left hanging. I'm always hopeful that we'll get some Aimia (preferably Akinah), but I think that is probably doubtful, probably just more mysterious buildup. I would also love to see Rall Elorim, the city of Shadows, Lift's hometown, but this also seems like it will happen in a later book. Nothing's happened storywise in purelake surrounding kingdoms of Barbathanam, Merebethia, Tu Bayla or Yulay (with the exception of the Skybreaker acolyte prisoner hunt), so it would be nice to see something happening in one of those kingdoms, and I would like to see some more of the Pure Lake, especially the place from the Dalinar's vision where it looked like a castle made of Obsidian was projecting up from the Purelake. And like Dalakaar said, it would be nice to see the kingdoms around Urithiru explored/fleshed out through the story. Lots to think about until fall of 2020 or early 2021... 2
Solant he/him Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Braize yet 2
Dalakaar he/him Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Nother place that's cropped up a few times that we might get a "present day" revisiting of, Feverstone Keep. 2

I think it is an old ruin somewhere, maybe in a currently important place. But I agree, I expect to see what remains of it. 1
Rainier Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 You forgot Azir, which we see a little of in OB. I think we'll see much more of it in Book 4.
Kon-Tiki he/him Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I'm still on the Rall Elorim hype train, but I doubt we'll see much of it before the Lift book
