Ripheus23
Quote Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] In our universe, mass and energy curve space. I was wondering if Investiture does the same or something similar Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] It does something similar. It draws the three Realms together. So it's got like-- Imagine a gravitational pull piercing Realms. Right? Of kind of-- Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] And that's how a perpendicularity works? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] That's not the only way a perpendicularity works, but one surefire way to create a perpendicularity is a massive collection of Investiture in the Cognitive or mostly Physical realm. But Cognitive's weird, doesn't always work the right way. But there are ways to do it that way too. source So my suspicion is that the goal of the Ghostbloods is to control a tri-Shard scenario. They know of at least two possible cases (Roshar::Honor, Cultivation, Odium & Scadrial::Ruin, Preservation, {Trell}) and so have agents actively working those two cases. I think historically, it will turn out that the Ghostbloods do not achieve their goal of developing a tri-Shard Vessel. However, I predict this will as such be historically so. Once the Cosmere endgame comes into play, a different tri-Shard scenario will arise. Quote Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] I had a question regarding the sixteen Shards... If they are, or when they are reformed to Adonalsium, will it have to be one person holding all sixteen Shards? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] That's a RAFO. I'm gonna RAFO that partially because there's not even-- who knows if it can all be recombined. source I predict that eventually, enough Shards will have merged so that there are only three left. Each will have a perpendicularity, and a "three-body problem" will arise in consequence. Someone from the Ghostbloods (maybe Mraize, maybe Thaidakar, maybe Iyaltil, who knows!) will be in a position to attempt to take the three final Shards. Due to the Shattering, these three will never be able to be internally recombined, and trying to hold them will destroy the Ghostblood who attempts to hold them. BONUS RANDO THEORY: When the entire Cosmere becomes a unit of self-awareness and the final tri-Shard is not being held by anyone, the Cosmere itself will take those Shards and Ascend. However, Khriss and the Ire will need to assist in the process using the Ire Ascension mechanism (I'm guessing the Ire themselves will not do so but Khriss will have an "Aha!" moment and voila...).

I was trying for it to make sense... The three-body problem has to do with gravity, perpendicularities are a gravitational function of Investiture, ergo... TrдVψLшR 0115 he/him
I would have done the same thing if I had thought of it. 20 hours ago, Ripheus23 said: Due to the Shattering, these three will never be able to be internally recombined, and trying to hold them will destroy the Ghostblood who attempts to hold them. Interesting. It sounds like from the wob that Brandon wants to keep the possibilities open to do something like this.
