Witswit Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 New here! I have read Mistborn, Wax&Wayne, The Way of Kings, and Words of Radiance. I am about to start Oathbringer. So bummed I have to wait two days for it to ship because the Barnes & Noble near me didn't have it. I have been trying to get at least one of my friends to read these books because I NEED to talk about them. So far I have had no luck. I am happy there is this forum though. Happy Reading everyone! 5
DawnStalker Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) What a witty comment Witswit. I have been in your place over a million times for Wheel of Time and the Cosmere. I don't even know if,--in my school-- there is a single person that has even read these books, which sucks. Sort of like Kaladin style with the bridgemen who don't care, but I'm more of a Shallan than a Kaladin. Before I start giving you a philosophical lecture about the lack of righteousness in the lighteyes, welcome to the Shard friend. Edited October 8, 2018 by DawnStalker
+Sorana she/her Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Hello and welcome to the shard! Which book did you like best?
Witswit Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 Thanks DawnStalker and Sorana! Most of my friends say they are too busy, which I get. I feel like I want to read Wheel of Time once I get through all the Cosmere series, but I am not sure if I want to commit to that yet. I am definitely having a hard time being productive while I am so engrossed in these books. As for me, I feel like I am most like Steris lol. Sorana, it is soo hard to pick a favorite book, I love the depth of the Stormlight Archives, I read Mistborn first and it is what drew me to Brandon Sanderson novels, but I think I liked the Wax & Wayne series the most so far.
DawnStalker Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 The Wheel of Time is lengthy, but the boring parts are totally worth the world building Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan did. Wayne is hilarious, although I think the first part of Mistborn is the better.
