My character quite done yet. Should I introduce him now or should he be from another one?

I would say he should be from this one. But if he isn't done, don't introduce him yet. We don't have to meet him (her?).  I plan on having other stable worlds when I expand the map, but I don't know how long it will take. I planned it to be each map has one stable world.

Ambrosia was amazed. If this is here, there might be others. What if some had traveled? I could find all the secrets of the Boundless Worlds, given time. She walked in to the dimension. "Hello. My name Is Ambrosia Nightshade. I am here on a research expedition. Who is in charge here?" An elderly woman stepped forward. "Have you ever been visited by outsiders like me?" The woman looked up, and Ambrosia recoiled. She had four yes, all snakelike. And glowing violet. It was a terrifying effect.  The woman smiled. Her teeth were pointed.  "Yes, there have been others. They came from a long way, riding boats of silver and aluminum." Storms! I WAS RIGHT!!! YES!

This is when this gets exiting. THis is a chance for new species, and it is open to any user to decide what is in a world.

Great! RP coming soon (I only have a few spare minutes here) but I have an idea for a new species. They will be on another world, after we are done with this one.

Ambrosia realized what she need for these. A device that can monitor the Boundless worlds. A device that can detect changes, and have a changing map. "Hang on, I'll be right back." SHe pulled out the gemstone and teleported away. Inexplicably, the old woman smiled.

Suddenly, with a bright flash of light, 6 craftsmen appear in the middle of the Explorers base. Their leader, Robert, starts searching around for anyone nearby to talk too about the delivery, while the other five start making a landing zone to teleport the machinery onto. Looking around, he couldn't find anyone here, so he decided to wait until someone came back before bringing in the materials.

Robert looks up. "Thank you! Would you be the leader of the explorers guild?" Without waiting for a response he turned around and looked at the other guys who had finished the calculations and sent them back to HQ.

"We're good boss!"

"OK," Robert yelled back. Turning to Ambrosia he said, "The boxes will becoming in soon, where do you want them installed? Also, Mack had a few questions about whats needed to explore this place, so he knows what protections to stick on the satellites."

Just then, a flash occurred, and a large box and 3 smaller ones appeared in the center.

"The Large box has the Big machine, one of the small ones has your helmet, another has a few operating manuals and other papers for if you need them. The last has a dozen tablets that have the map. The satellites will be coming in tomorrow. Is it ok if we launch them from here?"

Tomek landed at the place Ambrosia had told him to come. strangely, it was deserted. Tomek turned around to go back to the base. maybe the instructions were wrong? He would go back and wait for her

A few hours later

Back at the base, Tomek could see through his Forbiddance maze that people were running around setting stuff up. How had they got through? He quickly made his way through. "What the dusts are you guys doing?!" he said, still puzzling over how they got in.

"Yes, that is fine. The satellites will be fine, as long as they stay away from the Lost, the demons of the Boundless Ocean. To be certain, they will have to be coated in silver, then coated again in aluminum. Either coating should suffice, but they could still be destroyed."

Turning to Tomek, she said, "They teleported. It's fine for them, but we are going to need a defense against that. I plan on asking the Craftsmen to make a machine that will do it.

"Okay, but why are we trusting these guys?" he says, incredulously. "And why did you tell me to go to a deserted world?"

Soon, I have a species I want to introduce in one of the worlds. Eventually.

"I was there. I decided to leave to get this, so I could map the Boundless Worlds and find out if there was more stable ones. I'm trusting of them because I hired them to come here. And the Craftsmen have never betrayed client."

Posted

"well... okay" Tomek says reluctantly. "I think I may have seen a place on the way back. I swear something was moving, but I didn't stop to check it out. now that I think about it, there could be sentient, even sapient species."

At that, he walked back out, ignoring the "craftsmen" and sailing in the direction he thought that world was.

Robert looked over at the completed installation.

"That looks like everything guys. Lets head back to base now." Turning back to Ambrosia, he said "You guys may be seeing us around. The current plan is to find a few useless worlds and set up bases in there. Only a few though. I will talk with Mack about company policy in this area, but he mentioned making director of Operations in this area, so it looks like I will be in charge of our bases. If you guys ever need to, we will gladly provide a place to trade or a rest stop." With that said, he and the other guys pulled out discs with Aon Tia's on them, and tapped the Aons, and disappeared in flashes of light.

Hopefully he knows that worlds are unstable unless you fill the gemstone with stormlight or other investiture. She walked out, jumped in a boat, and followed Tomek.

He does not realize this.

That strange world comes into view again, a lush jungle, very large. This time, he sees no movement. This is that same one, right? He thinks. Tomek pulls his boat to the shore, noticing another boat rapidly approaching. Tomek begins to set up an Eastman, preparing for an attack from any side.

He has a tarp-like thing that makes it easier to draw on ground that isn't usually that great for drawing. An actual hard surface is better, but this is solid enough.

Robert and his team appear in a flash of light again, in the same spot as last time. This time with three large boxes, each one containing a satellite. Walking around, and not seeing anyone, he began to set up the satellites for launch, I wonder how they are able to make this place stick? They mentioned that they needed a constantly updating map I hope it doesn't collapse on me. glancing off to the side, He saw that the guys had left behind the tablet maps. He would have to take them to them to see if the bones of the system could be working.

He spent the next hour, launching and connecting the satellites, and tablets and helmet. Turning on the tablet, he found that while it was bit glitchy and slow, it did provide an accurate map of the boundless realms. Well, a least it works, tomorrow it will be better.

Turning around, he grabbed a set of tablets, loaded them up onto a smaller boat and set out to deliver them to Ambrosia and co.

I'm not going to post every time they launch satellites, just assume its going on and the systems will get better with time.

Ambrosia caught up with Tomek. "How did you find this?" She looked around. It was stable. But then she realized something. It was a different world. YES! "We need to explore.  There may be more living here."

Posted

"That's why I came back. I swear I saw something moving." He says, dismissing the chalk. This turned out to be a bad idea, as a dart flew out of the jungle straight at Tomek. He quickly put up a Forbiddance line, sheilding him and Ambroisa from the flurry of darts that followed. The first dart had hit Tomek's arm, and stuck, but the rest stopped at the Line.

Posted

"Savages? Or just wary of strangers?" Ambrosia, stuck in a scholarly trance didn't even care about the fact that Tomek was hurt. She pulled out the dart. "Fascinating! What materials are these? They aren't in the cosmere..."

Posted (edited)

"It... looks like some advanced form of plant," Tomek says, drowsily. The dart must have had some form of poison to put the victim to sleep. Out of the jungle, a few green humoinoids appear. Their clothes were shifting colors but in the light, they appeared to be like vibrant flowers. They walked forward, and stopped at the Line of Forbiddance, testing it. They made little sound, but seemed to communicate effortlessly. One of them spoke, in rough English. "Who you be?"

Quote

Note: the dart is not life threatening. These people/species are wary of strangers, highly advanced for their world, use biotech, and are generally curious about other creatures.

they are mostly female, similar to Huntresses or Amazons.

Nice. Ambrosia doesn't know that though... (yes, I'm RPing at 10:57. Don't judge me.)

"I am Ambrosia Nightshade. I am here an a peaceful mission of exploration. Please, do not harm us."

Posted

"We were curious of you. No people come here. Your magics are strong," One says.

"What did you hit me with?" Tomek said, his mind slipping.

"Something to make sleep. We not want you to see where we take you." Another one says. "Other human, please come with us. We will make you sleep. You can see queen, and talk"

Posted (edited)

Ambrosia considered the offer. Then she smiled. "Yes, I will come. Could I inject myself?" The people hand her a dart, and she stabs herself. The world went fuzzy, and she fell to her knees. She slipped the dart in a secret compartment in her Sentinel coat. Then she collapsed. They walked over and picked her up, no one noticing the small red light glowing in her helmet, unwavering.
