Mobile Picture Posting

Anytime I (or from what I’ve heard, anyone) posts a picture from their phone it automatically turns sideways. Is there a way to fix this?

Huh. Weird.

Is that a photo or a screenshot? The ones that have trouble for me are photos. Screenshots work fine.

@podman36 Ah, I see what you mean. If i load it raw, it turns. If i hit edit and save before uploading, it stays straight. 

I wonder if its the lossless PNG format keeping some information intact. Will try other image formats soon direct from phone to see if i get the same result

@podman36Sorry, I explained poorly. Just in your phone gallery, hit edit on the phone, then save it. [if it doesn't let you, just hit crop and change it slightly and save]

 The forum doesn't respect the rotation information that is stored in photo's EXIF data. The only solution is to do as already described, edit it and save, that should apply the rotation to the photo, not only save it in EXIF.
