Could a Shardblade effectively hit a Shade?

Could Nightblood kill a Shade similar to the way he kills regular people?

I don't think Brandon ever talked about this, but given what we know I'd say yes to both.

After all, Shades are a variety of Cognitive Shadows, which are basically spren, and Nightblood can eat spren:

Yeah a Shade is a weird CS and Shardblades (Nightblood included in this Broad definition) could affects those kind of beings.
