Just read about Shallan as Veil watching soldiers play a game called Pieces. The book gives a vague description of the concept, but no rules. I kinda wanna try it, but can't find anything about it online. Anyone know of a similar irl game, or know the rules to the actual game?

This is what it says on the coppermind

The game involves a player, the "mink" arranging ten unique tokens such that there is nine hidden in a triangle around a tenth piece. The other players attempt to duplicate the mink's arrangement and bet on who will make the closest match. Vorinism frowns upon gambling purely on hidden things as it implies guessing the future. At least one version of the game uses the ten Alethi Highprinces as the ten tokens.

It also describes using a mix of questions and peeks to find the order in the books. If every player has a certain number of questions and peeks while they each have however many turns to guess it could work

Also since this appears in OB shouldn't this be in the spoiler board?

Is it said anywhere what those specific questions are, how betting works, how many peeks you get, etc? I'd love to find some specific rules!

I figured this wasn't very important, but if that's where this belongs, I'm happy to delete it and re-ask there!

If no admins say anything it shouldn't matter

It reminds me of the Love Letter variant, Once You Go Blackmail (Archer version essentially). Pieces sounds much more complex, but the second I read it I was like "Oh, like Once You Go Blackmail." It basically involves players having a hand of cards that have actions and some allow peeks at other players' hands or a hidden card. There has got to be a game more like Pieces by now!
