Naurock Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 So I've been kicking around in my head for awhile some music of the Cosmere and their characters. I messaged @Chaos about this and he said as long as I spoilered the lyrics and tagged the thread as explicit it should be ok. It is kinda hard to find music that doesn't have cursing in it, to fit this violent galaxy, but I was wondering what everyone else thought. So I read the original Mistborn trilogy awhile back, and then heard this song and it immediately attached itself to the first era Mistborn in my head. It's My Name is Human by Highly Suspect. The last one in for Kaladin and also kind of a joke. How to Save a Life by The Frey. Lyrics: Spoiler Step one, you say we need to talkHe walks, you say sit down, it's just a talkHe smiles politely back at youYou stare politely right on throughSome sort of window to your rightAs he goes left, and you stay rightBetween the lines of fear and blameYou begin to wonder why you came Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life Let him know that you know bestCause after all, you do know bestTry to slip past his defenseWithout granting innocenceLay down a list of what is wrongThe things you've told him all alongAnd pray to God he hears youAnd I pray to God he hears you Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life As he begins to raise his voiceYou lower yours and grant him one last choiceDrive until you lose the roadOr break with the ones you've followedHe will do one of two thingsHe will admit to everythingOr he'll say he's just not the sameAnd you'll begin to wonder why you came Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life How to save a lifeHow to save a life Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life Where did I go wrong?I lost a friendSomewhere along in the bitternessAnd I would have stayed up with you all nightHad I known how to save a life How to save a lifeHow to save a life Thoughts? Any other characters you have in your head? Disagreements, maybe you think of different songs? Am I the only person that matches music to books they read? Hope no one is offended by the songs picked.
