So, How do you join a Guild?

So I was wondering, How do you join a guild? I know that they are fan made and stuff, but do I like, click a button and become a member, or do I just say, Ok, I'm deciding that I belong to this guild now with no formalization? Is It just a matter of perspective or is there something official? If anyone knows please reply.

Nah, if you go to full forums and scroll right down, there's the list of guilds and stuff.  I guess pick one that looks cool and post in its thread

@Cognitive Shadow yeah just go to the page, pick one, read the intro thingy, and do whatever it says to do. Each one differs, generally.
