Elena she/her Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 So, umh. Hi everybody. I suck at these things, just in case it wasn't clear yet.I'm Elena, because all the cool usernames were taken; I'm a uni student living in Italy with a love for rock music and a strange habit of reading Brandon's book for the first time during boring airplane flights. I don't know what is it about release dates coinciding with my vacations, but it's awesome because I never get bored Aaaaand, this about covers it; see y'all around. Cheers! 2
Rezier he/him Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Welcome Elena! I have enjoyed a few of Brandon's books on planes and trips myself. They most certainly are perfect to get one's mind out and away from all the people in confined spaces lolLook forward to your discussions as we all plunge deeper into this delightful universe!
Elbereth she/her Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) Welcome! Which of his books have you read? EDIT: Also, how much do you know about the Cosmere? Edited March 6, 2014 by Limelleth 1
Elena she/her Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Thanks a lot @Limelleth I actually learn about the Cosmere after looking up the Mistborn page on TvTropes, but that guide you linked looks wonderful so I'm defintely going to look at it right now. (As for your question, I've read Mistborn, Elantris, The Alloy of Law, Warbreaker and WoK. I'm flying over to the UK in a couple of days and planned on picking up Words of Radiance there, but I don't know if I can actually resist all the delicious spoilers until Sunday.. it's killing me!)
Elbereth she/her Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 So you've read all the Cosmere books. All that's left are the Rithmatist, Steelheart, the Emperor's Soul (which is Cosmere, but more of a short story), and the Alcatraz books (which are middle grade, but hilarious). And the short stories, of course, some of which are available online. All of those which are free, as well as some sample chapters, are here.
