Hello everyone,

After some time snooping information from this lovely forum I decided to become a bit more active – hence, in this post my official introduction:

My name is Kenneth – as my username suggests – and I am 24-year-old software engineering student based in the Netherlands. I have been a reader of fantasy since I was very young. I discovered Brandon's work whilst reading Wheel of Time, and as I really enjoyed his writing I decided to check out his own work. My entry point was "The Way of Kings", which became easily my favourite book as I was reading it. After delving deeper and deeper, I soon found out that it would not hold its title (well... not its title, but its title.... D: ) for long.

Currently, I have read most of the Cosmere works, excluding the 2nd era of Mistborn and some novellas.

Happy to meet you all, and thank you for teaching – albeit unknown until now – me a lot about the Cosmere I didn't know or missed. It is such a vast universe and I am looking forward to learning more about it! :D

Thank you for the cookie, they are one of my favourite types of cookies (which I have a lot of ;) )

Hemalurgy is a very well and well-crafted magic system. Whilst reading about it, I was thinking that it an evil form of acupuncture – I hope I didn't ruin it for you, but then again it is an art of Ruin. ;) .During the reading of Mistborn, I really enjoyed the revelations about Hemalurgy and all of its usages.

I reckon your favourite Cosmere series is Mistborn, then? :)

Nice to meet you, Ookla

Nice to meet you to. You didn't wreck it for me, I am part of a guild of Hemalurgy Bakers who actively spike new comers. I am fully aware of the consequences of my actions (;)). My favorite series is probably Mistborn. But my favorite novel on the other hand is probably Oathbringer. Also one last thing, there are alot of Ookla's on the forum right now, if you want an explanation here it is.

Thank you for updating me on the Ookla naming convention, @Ookla the Capricious

Good choice in terms of favourite books. And now, I will sing – inspired by Mr Bon Jovi: "Spike through the heart, and you're to blame! darling you give Ruin, a good (at first, but then it turned out to be BAD anyhow) name!"

As for @Ookla the Elephant , thank you for your gracious offer, however, I am afraid that I will have to decline for now. I would rather keep my breath a little longer and see if I deem it wise to hand it over. ;)
