[OB] Is odium an idiot?

Obviously not, from what we see him plan ahead for, but why did odium bring attention to the only stone that could stop him. Dalinar used the stone to capture the thrill. But he wouldn't have even thought to have done that if odium didn't cause attention to it. Am i missing something or did odium slip up?

Odium assumed Dalinar would join. Also, the theft as planned would have gone unnoticed. Rysn and the Larkin upset that in grand style!
