So, I'm not sure if there is a thread already for this (if there is, please link it for me!)

I feel that Shardplate isn't necessarily of the Spren that a Surgebinder has bonded with. We have seen large amounts of windspren circling Kaladin, as well as a massive torrent of gloryspren in regards to Dalinar.

I feel that Windrunner Shardplate is actually made of windspren, and when described from Dalinar's visions, I'm pretty sure it had a blue cast to it.

If this is the case, could creationspren be for Lightweavers (as their Order tends to be artists) and possibly lifespren for Edgedancers (due to their Regrowth ability and their Spren's love for gardening, etc).

This would also explain why a KR can don Shardplate without it screaming as a Shardblade would, it isn't one of the higher Spren. Maybe the fourth ideal give the Surgebinder the ability to have some sort of bond with lesser Spren? (Such as Kaladin with windspren, and Dalinar with gloryspren near the end of the book).

Let me know!

Here you go :D

And a really great list here:

Hah thank you! I thought I was onto something, seems others beat me to it! Realised how helidors are associated to Bondsmiths (on the Ten Essence table) and that they're gold... leading me to the conclusion of gloryspren. -_-
