GRRMeh Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Great forum. I am an Audible member (long commutes to work) so I have listened to Sanderson's TWOK, WOR, EdgeDancer, WarBreaker and am currently listening to OathBringer. I look forward to reading more of Sanderson's work and your comments on that work. Two things: 1. Other epic fantasy authors can take a lesson from Sanderson, (looking at you Rothfuss, Martin, and Lynch) 2. I love the Audible versions of Sanderson's books with the exception of Kate Reading's interpretation of Pattern: She makes him/her/it sound like a sniveling whiner on crack. 1
Synth she/her Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 With regard to your number one, I totally agree with you, GRRMeh. With regard to your number two, I can't comment because I don't do audible. Happy reading, nonetheless! 1
GRRMeh Posted November 26, 2017 Author Posted November 26, 2017 I am particularly annoyed with Lynch and Rothfuss. The Gentlemen Bastard Sequence and King Slayer Chronicles are really excellent.
