Air Sick Lowlander Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hi fellow stormlight addicts may we never recover 2
Elbereth she/her Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hello and welcome to the 17th Shard! I'm Lim. Have you read any of Brandon's other books? Also, have you read the Words of Radiance sample chapters or are you waiting for the release? TEN DAYS.
Air Sick Lowlander Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Hi Lim, I have read Elantris, and the orginal triligy of Mistborn, of course the last 3 books of the wheel of time, Steelheart. I started to listen to warbreaker but the actor that did the reading makes me crazy with the way he pronouncies things. I had to stop lol. I will have to get the book and read for myself. I did read the advanced release of the chapters. I am chomping at the bit for the book to be released.
Elbereth she/her Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 That's great! So the only adult book you haven't read (unless I'm missing something) is Alloy of Law. And Warbreaker, of course. You know you can get it for free on Brandon's website, right? Of course, there's the Rithmatist and the Alcatraz books, which are also well worth the read. And there are his short stories, many of which are available online as well. How much do you know about the Cosmere? 七矢。

Elbereth she/her Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 No. That's the alternate way to say day. (tian) Do you speak Mandarin, then? We learned either way (曰 or 矢) to say day is fine.
