Swimmingly he/him Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 You know, his story would be pretty damnation tragic if he wasn't so blasé about it. And the curse of kind is likely real, given that we know how fChrome affects luck
Drosis Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 This idea has no research or factual evidence behind it. It's just my memory. A friend of mine just read Mistborn: The Final Empire. I told him to hurry and read the other two books because I wanted to discuss it with him. I apologize if I overuse spoiler tags, but I'd rather be too careful than not careful enough. The first thing that popped into my head when I thought about Mistborn: Well of Ascension (besides the Well of Ascension) was: (Mistborn 2 & 3 Spoiler) TenSoon and the Kandra When that popped into my head I was distinctly reminded of Axies talking about getting beat up and changing a lot of physical attributes. I don't know what an Aimian is or anything about them specifically, but I saw some similarities. (Mistborn 2 & 3 Spoiler) I don't know anything about the shadows going the wrong direction, and I'm not saying that Axies or Aimians are Kandra. However, I thought the physical characteristics of Aimians and Kandra might be worthwhile to note. Also, since everything is in the same Cosmere and Brandon has said that Hemalurgy can cross planets and other powers can be stolen besides just Feruchemy and Allomancy, I'd just toss that idea out there. When I read that bullet list mentioned earlier by WEZ313, I can see everything but wrong direction shadows being explained by Hemalurgy (Kandra specifically). Aimians may be a race, but it didn't say anything about their method of reproduction. I smirked when I saw Curse of Kind because I forgot that verbiage. All of the Kandra spikes are called Blessings.
Swimmingly he/him Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Sounds more like an exchange of Luck for immortality, to me.
