Nathrangking he/him Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 (edited) Upon completing shadows of self something dawned on me! We are never told what happens when a Kendra dies. Do they pass on to the Beyond like other beings or do they simply cease to exist. In other words would Wax be reunited with lessie/ paalm on the other side when he does or will he be alone when he passed on. Edited October 16, 2017 by Nathrangking
Calderis he/him Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 First off, the Beyond is not the spiritual realm. To your actual question, were made from humans so I believe they would function the same after dying. A mistwraith is just a Kandra whose aspects are artificially segregated, and Hemalurgy fixes that problem. Physiologically, they are not human. But their Cognitive aspect should be remarkably similar. So yes, I believe Kandra can go beyond. 1
PhoenixQuill Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure if you've read Bands of Mourning but here is a BoM spoilers that I believe answers your question. Spoiler During Wax's conversation with Harmony. Quote "Wax hesitated, 'Tell me one thing first.' 'If it is within my means.' 'Did she come here? When she passed?' Harmony smiled. 'She asked me to look after you.'" So spoiler free answer is yes, I believe kandra do move to the cognitive realm and then to the Beyond. Nathrangking he/him Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Thank you @Calderis for setting me straight on the fact that they are not the same. @PhoenixQuill I realized that immediately after posting the question, but then it occurred to me that Harmony never truly states that Lessor came there he only stated that she asked him to look out for Wax which could have come as she was dying not definitively when she appeared in the CR.
PhoenixQuill Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 @Nathrangking that is very true. I hadn't even thought about that. Harmony is very particular with how he words it. He never actually says that he saw her there
Yata he/him Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I see no reason for a living being to not going into the Beyond upon death. Much more a Sapient being like a Kandra. To be more honest, I see no reason for the humans to be special, after all we didn't even know if the Beyond actually exists at all
