These things cannot break their own rules. Nor can he. In Chapter 16 of Oathbringer we have this line from the Stormfather, stating that nothing of Adonalsium is capable of breaking oaths. This bears the question: Who created humans? Khriss seems to think it was Adonalsium, but this seems to indicate otherwise.

You have your answer in that same quote. Humans are not a "force." The laws that govern shards and humans are not the same.

Investiture influences always but the amount of Influence is proportional to the amount of Investiture. An Human is Simply very loosely bound to that rules as his soul is made of relative Little Investiture
