Djarskublar he/him
I recently discovered an anime that gave off huge Warbreaker vibes. There are so many similar characters and plot points it was almost painful, but ended up hilarious instead. The anime is Soredemo Sekai wa utsukushii. The English translated title is The World is still Beautiful. Like, for a short summary of some of the similar elements without spoilers here's this. A princess with a special power tied to her royal lineage gets married off to the 'Big Bad King' to prevent a war between the two countries. The king turns out to be a nice guy, and hijinks ensue. The priests get involved with their relationship. There are assassination attempts from minority groups. This show is meant to be a romance with a bit of com attached, but it usually takes itself fairly seriously. I couldn't take it seriously much of the time, though, since I was laughing too hard at the similarities. I had a great time. I don't think the show was particularly good on its own, but it was great with the Warbreaker context. Lemme know if you end up laughing at this like I did. Or have done in the past, I guess.

I've seen this anime on Crunchyroll's list. It's on my queue so I was going to get around to it eventually, but hearing about all these similarities to Warbreaker has made me super curious! I think I'll have to bump it up on the list. Will let you know what I think!
