King Cole he/him Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 My friend recently showed me an awesome web comic strip called xkcd that I instantly fell in love with. I was wondering if any one else shares my love for this awesome strip. I set up a google doc with my favorite ones so far if you are interested https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CYyXg8XzGwmMBdc8wzm9vDunu3MmXAcxvxklRdN0Rkw/edit?usp=sharing 8
+ILuvHats he/him Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) YAAASSSSSS! I will upvote you even though this post isn't Sanderson-related. Here's one of my favorites. If only we could actually do this... https://xkcd.com/1073/ Edited August 29, 2017 by ILuvHats

kenod Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I personally really like it, and it was also what got me into web comics. I also highly advice people to read the what ifs, as they contain a lot of interesting science things, while keeping the humor of the standard xkcd. Also, I don't have a real preference for specific comics, but if I have to decide, I would choose anything with Black Hat in it. 1

I have a sad tale to share. I bought the what if book on a whim before I really knew much about Randall Munroe. It was only later I discovered that EVERY SINGLE PAGE of the book was posted on Munroe's what if website. I will recommend taking a look at the what ifs. Ever wondered what would happen if you threw a baseball at 90% the speed of light? The answer is here: https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/
Modal Seoul he/him Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 My favorite xkcd: https://xkcd.com/1164/ 1

The answer is here: https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/ not every single page. there are a handful of book exclusives. That said, as much as I tend to enjoy the webcomic (today's included the phrase "a universe where snakes are wide instead of long" which is just such a completely absurd image I can't help but love it) the What-if articles are definitely better.
