I know, might is the word that hurts right now, but if a ferring tapped enough don't you think it's possible they might be able to become fearless? Or, at the very least, have so much determination that they sort of don't have room for any other emotions? Either way, it seems this is a dead theory. However, it just occurred to me- a Mistborn gives a duralumin Push on your fear right before you strike. That might work. 1

There is still the possibility though that since the person logically knows they should be afraid that Steelheart's powers might still kick in, since they fear him on an intellectual level.
