Amazon Preview of Steelheart?

I just finished an Amazon preview survey where they given you a description of a show and ask for feedback. It sure seemed like a modified version of Steelheart to me.  Key elements included:

• A world where superheroes were real
• A normal guy whose girlfriend (presumed movie adaption here) is needlessly killed by a "rogue celebrity superhero"
• As a result, he joins a group of normal humans who are vigilantes committed to take down the superheroes with nothing but "blue collar grit" and a willingness to fight dirty
• Includes a "charismatic yet terrifying guy with a vendetta against all sups"

Of course, it could be a different story line or an idea that never gets developed, but it was fun to see what might be the early stages of a TV or movie adaptation of the Reckoners.

It could also be an adaptation of the very not family friendly comic "the boys."

Ah, good point. I wasn't familiar with that comic but you are correct that the description matches that quite well also.
