When they are spiked into becoming full Kandra, they then have a consciousness to direct that differentiation, hence the need to consume their victims. The digestive process also allows them to mimic the cells of the donor, as well as clean the bones for the structural aspect of a body. I figure that, as mentioned above, they could theoretically have a baby with themselves with enough know-how. Kandra surrogates anyone? Well, they could have the baby in their own body, provided they would keep the same body for 9 months. So no need for surrogates, the way I see it. But then there is the aspect of spiritual DNA, which makes things more complicated... But I certainly agree with your explanation of how kandra work!

I think people have been suggesting that whilst they could bw use'd as surrogates, the babies might inherit the Kandra's spiritual DNA, so that could make any baby a bit weird EDIT- didn't see the second page with the original reply, sorry if repetitive Edited May 11, 2017 by Sanderson-Savant
The Sovereign Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Relevent WoB: Quote INTERVIEW: Feb 22nd, 2016 Calamity-Chicago QUESTION If a Kandra and a human were to have a baby, what would that baby be like? BRANDON SANDERSON I would say that right now… It would depend. The kandra would have to remain in human form, keep the same body, and then would give birth to a human. If it was a woman [human] with a man [kandra], it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, with a kandra. Does that make sense? QUESTION Yeah. BRANDON SANDERSON Because when the kandra is in human form, they can identically recreate the bodily functions and things if they want to. TAGS kandra, 1

That's awesome Isn't there something about a female kandra/male human or kandra/kandra? But thank you soooo much! This helped a lot!

This helped a lot! I scoured through the WoBs when I found that one and, alas, at the moment there are no more [to my knowledge] regarding Human-Kandra relations. I'll have to ask BS about it next time he has an East Coast signing.

I'm planning that too, but I have to wait until he's in Europe and close enough for me to go I missed m chance to go see him in Poland because I'm stupid
